Ever since Sulake first started their first ever idea was to make a Online Virtual Community so people across the entire world can chat to each other, and get to know each other. After that Habbo Hotel was created with 32 Environments across the World.

When Habbo Hotel first began their was never a 'Habbo Retro' around until v3. Even back then we were 2 Version, aka Revisions, behind the Official Hotel. Today we are at the exact same Version as Habbo Hotel with the thanks of many great Developers who spent their free time by providing free Web Software for us all to use. I shall name a few below;

Meth0d - Creator of the first ever proper v24 CMS called HoloCMS.
Yifan Lu - Updated HoloCMS and formed PHPRetro out of it.
AWA - Helped make Holograph Emulator which works with HoloCMS and PHPRetro.
Cecer1 - Same as AWA. Currently Developing IHI, Ion Habbo Impersonate
Zak - Updated Holograph Emulator to this day.
Veelox - Helped out people and provided some Codes for other Developers and is now Developing AleedaCMS.
Winterpartys - Updating Holograph Emulator and is now Developing AleedaEMU.
AresCJ - Helped Develop Holograph Emulator by providing some Codes.
Jontycat - Helped build the Habbo Community and has provided some good Software.

oh and did i mention Donkjam? hes the greatest of them all, Theres also reasons why he never releases such things anymore.

Some of them are idiots, and whatever but without them v24+ would exist.

Habbo Retros have affected Habbo Hotel, Sulake, by a great deal by persuading people to join Habbo Retros which provide free Credits etc.

For you lot that don't know what a Habbo Retro is.
Habbo Retros are fake Habbo Hotels, or private servers, operated by small organizations. The name "Habbo Retro" was first started when a "Retro" was started. Habbo Retros provide free credits on registration, and most will give more credits if needed. There also is a possibility to create your own furniture and put in in the server. Habbo Retros typically used older versions of Habbo, thus the term 'Retro'. However, now Retros mostly are working with the same release as the pilot hotel, or one or two older releases. Due to high maintenance rates and Sulake's stand, few Retros have survived for more than a year.
