Software dev · Brisbane, Australia · reviving Habbo Hotel, one CCT at a time.
Hi — I'm Alexandra, a software developer from Australia. I'm passionate about a childhood game called Habbo Hotel, and I've had the username "Quackster" since I was 12.
Most of my time goes into reverse engineering — picking apart .NET programs, Adobe Shockwave .CCT files, and Flash .SWF files — and into building the server emulators and tooling needed to keep the 2001–2009 era of Habbo Hotel running long after the plug was pulled. Part nostalgia, part archaeology, part software preservation.
What I work on
Java emulators that speak the old client protocol — Kepler (v14, 2007), Havana (v31, 2009), Roseau (2001 'v1').
LibreShockwave (open-source Shockwave SDK/player), dirapi (Director runtime), Elias (.SWF→.CCT).
Decompiled client source + asset dumps for v1, v14, v26, v31 — and the h4bbo.net file archive.
